H&B BATCH PLANTS
“A Tradition of Excellence since 1867”
When Hetherington and Berner (H&B) built its first hot mix asphalt
facility in 1894, a tradition of excellence began that has yet to be
surpassed in the industry. As the oldest manufacturer of asphalt batch
mixing plants in the world, H&B has amassed over 3000 installations
worldwide to its credit; more than any other manufacturer.
As the most senior member of the Gencor family, H&B is the most
recognized name in asphalt with a reputation of superior engineering
and durable construction design. These massive structures are capable
of producing up to 600 tons per hour of hot mix asphalt, with the incredible
flexibility of producing over 250 variations in recipe and mix design
to suit individual requirements.
Quality design, massive construction and uncompromising flexibility
are what have afforded H&B the lions share of the batch plant market
year after year.
The H&B Advantage
The H&B batch plant offers advantages unavailable in competitors’ products.
Construction benefits include a massive tower built with heavier, sturdier
materials for long life and low maintenance. Modular tower sections supported
by reinforced legs are constructed of heavy plate. In fact, our plants
are usually twenty percent heavier than those of our competitors.
Ease-of-use features include oversized access and inspection doors
and OSHA-approved ladder access, toe kickplates and hand rails for safe
access during tower maintenance.
In addition to innovative pneumatic and electrical features, H&B
Batch Plants are equipped with the heaviest mixer gear reducer in the
industry. An independent exhaust purge system evacuates both the elevator
and mixer making it the most environmentally clean operating batch plant
in the industry.
